About Onyx
Looking at Onyx countertops, the first thing you might notice is they appear to be very thin. This quality is what allows light to pass through them and give Onyx counter tops their patented honey glow. Some people have chosen to light their onyx countertop from the bottom, adding even more glow. Don’t let its thin size fool you. Onyx countertops might look delicate, but are sturdy enough for use in a business or residential setting

About Soapstone
Unlike wood, granite or marble, soapstone countertops do not absorb stains or liquids, nor do they require special cleaners. You can set your hottest oven pan on soapstone counters and the stone won't be at all affected. In fact, there are soapstone pots for that very reason. Because it is a siliceous stone, soapstone kitchen countertops are also unaffected by acids or alkalis. In other words, it would take quite a lot to damage or stain your soapstone countertops. Finally, while the need for a sealant is not as great as other stones, you can apply a stone sealer or mineral oil to soapstone counters to bring out the natural colors and grains of the stone. Reapply sealant periodically to your soapstone kitchen countertops to bring out a natural patina year to year.

About Limestone
All limestone countertops are simply beautiful. While there are many natural stones on todays market, limestone has some particularly vibrant shades of blue that are simply unavailable in other stones.
Limestone kitchen countertops are made of a porous material and this must be considered when making your selection, as it will have a profound impact on the overall care you will need to take of your countertops. It’s fairly simple to maintain limestone counters, and the decision to use a natural stone in your kitchen is an environmentally friendly choice to make when designing your kitchen.
